Here are some of our ginger reds and buffs.

We recently started the Ginger Red breeding program and have been able to produce some very good quality F1 offsprings. 

Since this is a new project, it's going to require a few more generations to obtain the level of quality currently existing in some of the other varieties such as whites and blacks.

The buff silkies are a byproduct of our ginger red breeding since we use some as breeders in our ginger red pens.   A certain percentage of the offsprings will be buffs and ginger reds.

Bearded Buff Silkies

Color – Male and Female

PLUMAGE:  Surface throughout – an even shade of rich golden buff.

COMB, FACE, AND WATTLES: Deep mulberry.

BEAK: Slaty Blue.

EYES: Black.

EARLOBES: Turquoise blue.

SHANKS AND TOES: Slaty Blue;  nails, horn.
